We hope everyone is staying safe and healthy! With the weather improving, I'm sure everyone is anxious to get their DeLorean out, but even that provides little socializing that our group is accustomed to enjoying. We want to provide an opportunity to break out of the monotony by hosting a Virtual Trivia / Tech Q&A event!
So how does this work?
We'll be hosting a conference session via an app called BlueJeans (It's just like Zoom, Facetime, etc.) You will have the option to use webcam video and it is highly encouraged since we miss seeing your smiling faces! :) Please be sure to join promptly as we will allow the first 5-10 minutes for everyone to get online and setup before we dig into the fun. Please use a tablet or your computer for the video chat since your smartphone will be needed separately for the Trivia game interaction.
How to RSVP
Please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to register your interest to attend the event. We will send the link and full instructions to registered participants with the virtual conference room with instructions 24 hrs prior to the virtual event start.
We'll be starting our first 30 mins with trivia questions – Everyone is welcome to participate! We'll have a DeLorean focused trivia round followed by a "hard-core fan" Back to the Future trivia round. We plan to mail out prizes to the winners of each Trivia!
Q&A with Tom's Garage
Following Trivia, we'll have another 30 mins dedicated to Q&A with Tom Sweeney and Marc Levy from Tom's Garage to answer any of your pending tech questions! With your cars itching to be dusted off for the warm weather, we certainly don't want you to miss out on any 'face-to-face' time in lieu of the spring social delay.
- We ask that any questions are submitted ahead of time for Tom and Marc to prepare any visual aids they may have, and to respectfully give others a chance to participate.
- We also ask that you mute your microphones during the Q&A to allow Marc and Tom to answer the submitted questions without interruption.
- Please note that the advice given in the Q&A session is purely informational and that neither the DMA or Tom's Garage is liable for any outcome of actions taken based on the discussion topics.
Open Happy Hour
We'll leave the conference line open for any additional time with Marc and Tom, as well as any open conversations. There's no rush to boot anyone off! You're welcome to dial-in whenever and participate at your own comfort level.
